The proverbs are written like bible verses and each proverb is explained by the author. In sum, the male and the female side of each proverb is presented. The fly (male) and the spider (female) are very different but they must coexist. In this booklet published by Zamani Press, there are many parallels to life and how insects function in nature. As stated in Proverb #15, “When the fly wisely lands on the spider’s back, the SPIDERFLY tandem can transform into the magnificence of a butterfly.” With so many challenges in relationships, perhaps this book can be a guide for those young and old.
Zamani Press
Zamani Press (ZP) was created in 1994 as an independent publishing company to publish, market and distribute literature that is intellectually provocative and academically rigorous.
With the control of the dissemination of information by a few corporate enterprises, ZP serves as an alternative source of information that is not funded by corporate money.
Therefore, the views and ideas expressed are by and for the masses of the people who do not control the majority of the world’s wealth.
THE FOCUS of the information distributed by ZP is about people of African descent and how to elevate them beyond the status of an educationally oppressed people. The reality is that misinformation and poor education has kept people oppressed and unaware of alternative perspectives.
